McDonald's Response to Taco Bell's Real Ronald Commercial

Huffington Post reports on the breakfast war between McDonald’s and Taco Bell.

In recent news, Taco Bell released a new commercial mocking McDonald’s by featuring real life Ronald McDonalds claiming their love for Taco Bell’s new breakfast menu.
On Friday, McDonald’s replied back in a kindly thanks by posting a picture of their clown mascot Ronald McDonald petting a chihuahua saying “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
McDonald’s is also using this opportunity to raise the breakfast bar by offering free cups of coffee for the next two weeks. It’s an interesting marketing scheme to try and handle competition, but will it really win over a newly designed menu?
