Chick-Fil-A Becomes the 3rd Largest Fast Food Chain in the US

Chick-fil-A is now the 3rd-largest restaurant chain in America, according to the Nation’s Restaurant News analysis published Monday. The chain famous for its fried chicken sandwiches jumped from the No. 7 spot on last year’s Nation’s Restaurant News’ Top 200, all the way up to number 3, surpassing Wendy’s, Burger King, Taco Bell and Subway. Chick-fil-A’s sales grew 16.7% in 2018, that’s up from $8.97 billion. Chick-Fil-A has quite away to go before it achieves first place. Fast food giant McDona’ds holds the top spot at $38.52 billion in sales for 2018, as compared to Chick-Fil-A’s $10.46 billion.
Previously we’ve discussed Chick-Fil-A’s drive-thru strategy. There’s no doubt that Chick-Fil-A’s drive thru service played a role in the company’s massive growth. Essential to maintaining fast in-house and drive-thru service is a fully integrated, staff friendly QRS POS system.

Sintel Systems, the global industry leader in omni channel point of sale (POS) solutions is rolling out a new innovative hand held drive thru POS devices specifically created for fast food restaurants. These advanced terminals are designed to further increase the productivity and accuracy of busy quick service restaurants (QSR) with bustling drive thru operations through rapid wireless ordering that promotes face-to-face employee customer interaction.
