Dunkin' Donuts Partners with Grubhub

On Monday  coffee and donuts chain Dunkin’ announced a partnership with third party delivery platform Grubhub. The companies are rolling out Dunkin’ Delivers, a new food-ordering and delivery service. Through Seamless, Grubhub’s NY brand, 400 Dunkin’ locations in New York City will deliver doughnut goodness.

The companies began testing the service in February to great success. They  plan to expand the delivery partnership to Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia in the coming months. The chain also has a delivery partnership with DoorDash in select parts of New York and New Jersey.
Shares of Grubhub stock jumped 4% after the announcement was made. In the past year, Grubhub, which once dominated the online food service delivery market has lost business to competitors Uber Eats and DoorDash.
Considering opening a donut bakery? Sintel Systems’ donut POS System is specifically intended for the made to order donut (doughnut) shops. The system greatly increases the efficiency and speed at which employees can make the donuts and cuts down on labor cost. Naturally the increased speed also increases customer satisfaction with faster service. A recorded demo of the Donut POS software shown below:

Made to order donut shops allow the customer to start with a plain donut, then add their own glaze, followed by a variety of toppings. The options on the doughnut glaze can range to up to 10 flavors including chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. Sintel’s POS system group same-glaze donuts (with different toppings) together before sending them to the kitchen. This allows the employee to make all of the same glaze donuts at the same time without having to go back and forth.
