New England Area NTEP Certification Inspection

Retailers including frozen yogurt shops, bakeries, and produce stores have reported a recent spike in inspections by state department of weights and measures in the New England region including Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Each state enforces the requirement of NTEP certification a little differently, but the following agencies have been enforcing NTEP certification in recent months:
— Connecticut – Department of Consumer Protection – The Standards Program (also known as Weights and Measures)
— Maine – Department of Agriculture, Food, & Rural Resources – Weights and Measures Inspections
— Maryland – Department of Agriculture Weights and Measures
— Massachusetts – Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation – Weights & Measures
— New Hampshire – Department of Agriculture, Markets, & Food Division of Weights and Measures
— Rhode Island – Department of Labor and Training – Weights and Measures
Vermont – Agency of Agriculture Food Weight and Measures
