CNBC’s new show Restaurant Startup premiered this month, with its first episode airing on July 8th. The show brings together the high energy of a food competition with the addition of investment and business startup, seen in CNBC’s ever so popular Shark Tank. Waylynn Lucas [from Eat, Drink, Love’s] will consult with the contestants who will try to start with only $7,500 a “pop-up restaurant, or a store, or a product presentation.” After only two days, Bastianich and Love will decide if they should invest in the concept.
