Social Media is Not the Only Way to Acquire New Customers, But It May Be the Greatest

social media
In a previous blog we talked about how Facebook’s new Graph Search can help you find the customers that you do and do not want. Entrepreneur.com posted an interesting infographic on how to use social media to find customers.
The infographic listed some pretty surprising and fascinating information:

  • 77% of business to customer (B2C) marketers have acquired a customer through Facebook.
  • 34% of marketers have generated leads using twitter and 20% have closed deals
  • At 26%, Facebook is the leading source of referred social media traffic to websites.
  • Twitter comes in second with 3.6%.

When it comes to lead conversions, “social media produces almost double the marketing leads of trade shows, telemarketing, direct mail or pay per click.”
Perhaps your business already uses Twitter and Facebook to obtain customers, but as the CEO of the company it is vital that you are using social media as well.
“77% of buyers say they are more likely to buy from a company whose CEO uses social media.”
Who knows how many potential customers are out there, but we do know that they are only a Facebook post or tweet away.
